Golden Apple Form

The Findlay Rotary Club is looking for three outstanding teachers.

 

The Rotary Golden Apple Award, signifying teaching excellence, will be awarded each year to outstanding teachers in the elementary, middle, and high schools of Findlay or Hancock County.

 

The Club hopes the Golden Apple Awards will enhance the public’s respect for teachers and help attract new, dedicated people to the teaching profession.

 

The public is invited to nominate Findlay or Hancock County teachers who have made a dramatic difference in their lives.

 

The Rotary Club will accept nominations of outstanding teachers until April 11, 2025. Nominations received after that date will not be considered in this year’s process.

 

 

Nominees must:

 

1. Teach Preschool through 12th Grade full-time in a Findlay or Hancock County School;

 

2. Have taught a minimum of three years in their current school system;

 

3. Have spent a majority of their time in the classroom.

 

NOTE: Self-nominations will be allowed and teachers may not receive the Golden Apple Award more than once.

 

 

A Community Selection Committee, comprised of interested, civic-minded people, will screen the outstanding teachers nominated and choose nine semi-finalists (three each from the elementary, middle, and high school levels) who will be recommended to the Rotary Golden Apple Award Final Selection Committee. This Final Selection Committee will then select the three finalists.

 

 

The Findlay Rotary Club will honor the three outstanding teachers at an awards banquet in the fall. Each of the three outstanding teachers will receive a Golden Apple Award and a $2,500 cash award.

 

 

If you know a teacher who has improved a student’s life through excellent, dedicated teaching, nominate that teacher for the Findlay Rotary Club’s Golden Apple Award.
